Salvia Gardening

For someone looking to begin growing salvia divinorum, the first thing to remember is that buying seeds is a very very bad idea. Salvia plants rarely produce very few seeds even when it does flower but no seeds have ever been observed on plants in the wild. One can manually germinate the plants but, that takes much care and attention for seeds that rarely ever take root. Less than 1% will grow into an adult plant.

Instead of growing from seeds, the adult plant will droop onto the ground and the stem will break off at a node and the resulting segment will take root on it's own. Most salvia plants are clones.

For this reason, the best way to start growing it would be to buy a couple live plants and clone them or allow them to clone themselves naturally. FreshSalvia sells live plants that will arrive well rooted in soil, guaranteed to be live on delivery. After it’s postal ride in it’s oversized planter box all you will need to do is take care of it.

Once your plant gets large enough that it starts drooping over you may then break it off at a node of the main stem. Place the clipping in water until roots begin to form. Change the water daily to prevent root rot.

Once you decide to harvest some leaves, here's the directions on how to make a quality concentrate with it.

Those plants are only available for a limited time so get yours while supplies last and while it's still legal!

Join L.E.A.P. to end the war on drugs

Law Enforcement Against Prohibition (LEAP) want's to end drug prohibion. We can do it together. We need to make our voices heard by our lawmakers if it is ever to happen.

It seems that for decades now our goverernment has had it's head in the sand when it comes to the subject of drugs in this country. Apparently we learned nothing from alcohol prohibition. They ignore the problems created by the drug war and think they can just throw money at it and it will go away.

People will use drugs whether they're legal or not. In fact, since drug prohibition went into effect in 1937, the use of illegal drugs has climbed steadily. More people than ever have tried marijuana. There is a higher (pun intended) proportion of habitual drug users in this country than in the netherlands where drugs are legal.

The war on drugs is also a war on minorities. That is how it started out and that is how it has remained. The percentage of blacks in this country who use illegal drugs is very similar to that of whites, yet 75% of people sentenced to prison on drug charges are African Americans.

The war on drugs leads law enforcement to infringe on our constitutional RIGHTS. The very priciples on which our country was founded. Illegal search and seizure leading the pack. Law upon law have been passed to make it easier for police to bust drug users that have eaten away at our fourth ammendment rights.

We can do something about it. LEAP has an initiative to send to congress to end the war on drugs. Please sign up. We need as many signatures as we can get.

Get involved. Write your representatives. Donate what you can to the nonprofit organizations who are working to rid us of the destructive drug policies that hold us captive.

LEAP is actively presenting law enforcement's position on lifting drug prohibition to the federal government.

NORML has form letters for you to send to your representatives concerning current issues impacting the legality of marijuana recreationally, medicinally, and industrially.

TaxCannabis.org is currently working on getting marijuana legalized in California.

Residents of California. You have a unique opportunity. Over 800,000 signatures were collected to put a vote to legalizing marijuana in your state. You simply MUST get out and vote this November. Let nothing stand in your way of passing that law. Tell every person you know.

Prohibiton must end! It has got to stop! How much more damage and suffering and punishment must be put on the American people before this senseless war is put to an end? The incarceration rate in this country is FIVE TIMES that of any other country in the world. Land of the free MY ASS!

I am so sick of the corporate greed, political scandal, and "news" propaganda. We need to take our country back. Take our rights back. Our freedoms have been taken away from us so gradually that some people haven't sat up and took notice.

We are supposed to be free to life, liberty and the pusiut of happiness. The ONLY time these rights are to be limited is when we infringe on another citizen's rights to do the same. Stop arresting and prosecuting nonviolent drug offenders. Drug abuse is a health and social issue NOT a legal issue.

I could go on all day....Sign the petition please!

Help Legalize Marijuana in California

A sufficient number of sugnatures were collected to put legalizing marijuana to a vote in the golden state. In a recent poll, 56% of California residents surveyed were in favor of legalizing pot. The recent push to legalize marijuana in California has gained momentum but, the fight is far from over.

There are people who feel very strongly about this issue on both sides. The people against legalizing marijuana have been lied to by the government and big corporations for decades. Drug companies stand to lose billions of dollars if it becomes legal. Alcohol comanies will also lose billions in sales to marijuana.

You've probably seen those anti-pot commercials with the cartoon dog talking to his master, asking him to quit smoking pot. Those commercials were paid for by alcohol companies. Don't kid yourselves, alcohol is a drug. Alcohol kills more people every year than cigarettes, car accidents (that is the 50% that don't involve a drunk driver), murder and all illicit drugs combined.

Fact: Nobody has ever overdosed on marijuana. You would have to smoke 1500 pounds of pot in 15 minutes to overdose. An impossible feat.

There is no evidence that using marijuana over a long period causes any life-threatening conditions unlike our two legal recreational drugs, alcohol and tobacco.

The war on drugs is a complete and utter failure. There are even police officers and judges who highly recommend legalizing pot. Listen to why Judge James Gray thinks we need to legalize marijuana.

Then there's the organization Law Enorecment Against Prohibition (LEAP).

There is an ever escalating gang war going on just accross the US/Mexico border. They grow more and more violent as time goes by. Drug money puts guns and explosives in the hands of violent, greedy criminals. Sales of marijuana in the US account for 75% of their income. Demand for pot in the states increases even in the face of the senseless "war on drugs". Former Mexican President Vincente Fox suggests that the best way to curb this violence is to legalize and regulate marijuana in the US.

Alcohol prohibition caused a gang war in this country from 1920 to 1933. People did not stop using alcohol, they just went underground and it created a black market in which gangsters killed eachother and innocent people to get a greater share of the pie.

Part of the reason alcohol prohibition was repealed was that the great depression had hit and taxes on alcohol would help pay for government expenses.

We are in very much the same situation today. Only this time the drug in question is a much safer and more useful substance than alcohol could ever hope to be. Hemp is more durable than cotton, produces more paper per acre than lumber, more ethanol per acre than corn and, it can be harvested twice every season.

Hemp can be made into paper, rope, clothing, soap, food, fuel, plastic, and beauty products just to name a few. It has proven to be a useful medicine in treating patients with any number of chronic and incurable diesases such as cancer, aids and, glaucoma to name a few.

There has even been a study that indicates that children with ADD and ADHD could benefit from marijuana. The medication typically prescribed for ADD and ADHD is methylphenidate or Ritalin. Ritalin is chemically similar to methamphedamine and cocaine. Therefore, methampedamine and cocaine are "Schedule 2" drugs meaning they have medicinal qualities and have a high potential for abuse. Yet marijuana remains a "Schedule 1" drug with supposedly no medicinal qualities even though the AMA (American Medical Association) has asked the government to reschedule it.

If you live in California, you need to make sure you get registered and vote to legalize, tax and, regulate marijuana. California can be the trendsetter for the rest of the country. I am sure that many states will follow suit. The federal government will need to reconsider it's stance then.

To everyone else I say: Get involved. Write your representatives. Support movements to legalize.

LEGALIZATION NOW!

Salvia Diviniorum: The Seer's Sage

What is this Salvia people keep talking about? You can see countless videos on youtube of people smoking it and "tripping". Is it some kind of new drug?

Well, new it is not. It is a natural plant with long and continued tradition of religious use by Mazatac Shamans. Traditionally they would chew the leaves, never swallowing as the active ingredient, Salvinorin-A, breaks down in the stomach. Chewing the leaves generally has a longer lasting yet less intense effect than smoking it.

One can reach a meditative state with some hallucinations from smoking the dried leaves. Two to three grams to one person in a few minutes is enough. Hallucinations from the straight leaves
are generally mild and short-lived.

FreshSalvia.com sells various strength concentrates along side of plain leaves. By mass, Salvinorin-A is the most potent naturally occuring psychoactive compound known. A 10x concentrate is very sufficient for a beginner. Someone who has never tried it may find themselves lost and overwhelmed (with laughter) for as long as 20-30 minutes on a higher concentration.

The effect of smoking a concentrate can be quite surreal. You may feel disconnected from your surroundings or experience overlapping realities such as the perception of being in more than one location. Many people burst into hysterical laughter. You may have visions of membranes, films and other two-dimensional objects. Sensation of motion or being pulled or twisted by forces is also common.

The first time I smoked 10x concentrate, I felt as if the present was the past and I was observing or remembering it from the future. Of course I was laughing so hard that I couldn't convey my experience to my friends while it was happening!

Salvia is best used in a calm, quiet, almost dark room with only one or two good friends nearby. It's not a party drug. It's best used when sober as well. It's not fun in the sense that alcohol and marijuana are, though, used properly it can be an enjoyable experience.

Once the main "rush" has passed, there can be lingering effects of increased intuition, improved mood and a general feeling of well being among others.

Salvia is not physically addictive. There is even some evidence that the use of Salvia can treat cocaine addiction. A lab rat given a ready supply of cocaine then given Salvia will no longer choose cocaine.

Visit FreshSalvia.com for a great selection of salvia products. Haven't tried it yet? There are a dozen states that have already criminalized posession of salvia. Try it before they outlaw another harmless herb where you live.
